Guidelines on how to tag vectors

GUIDELINES FOR EXTERNAL DESIGNERS

 

In order to upload the CSV with tags and titles, please read the following information regarding how we need the vector files to be uploaded. In the following guidelines, we explain you how the vector files should be tagged and how to export it in CSV file in order to upload through FTP.

 

Before going into the tagging guidelines, we should point out the most common types of designs so we can add the appropriate basic tags. 

 

The most common designs are: background, banner, business card, flyer, infographic, stationery and wedding.

1.  BACKGROUND TAGS

There are different types of background: abstract, polygonal, themed (Labor Day, International  Peace Day, Friendship Day...) and patterned. As a general rule, all backgrounds have three basic tags: background, backdrop and wallpaper. If the background has a specific theme, then we’ll use the corresponding tags for that theme.

 

1.1. ABSTRACT AND POLYGONAL BACKGROUNDS

Abstract and Polygonal backgrounds usually have the following tags depending on the design:

 

abstract, polygonal, poly, polygon, polygons, low poly, modern, geometric, geometrical, geometric shapes, abstract shapes, shapes.

 

The color can be specified if a background is just one color. If, on the other hand, it consists of various colors, we can use the tag colorful.

 

1.2. THEMED BACKGROUNDS

Themed backgrounds (Labor Day, International Peace Day, Friendship Day, Ramadan...) should contain the previously mentioned basic tags and the specific tags for the theme in question.
