In this article you will find a quick and easy guide to create your contributor account.
Firstly, if you do not have an user account in Freepik, the system will ask you to register. Please note that the Username field will be your contributor name and this cannot be amended once the account has been created, therefore we suggest that you choose a name you like to represent your work.
If you already have an account, but want to use a different name to become a contributor, you must do this from your Freepik user account before you create your contributor profile.
Once you register/sign in, the site will show you the Terms and Conditions to become a contributor. You must read carefully the information before accepting, since these are the requirements and rules you must follow during your collaboration with Freepik.
The next step will be to complete your Billing Information. Please note that this needs to match with the data from the ID document that you are required to upload to the Fiscal Information section.
It is very important that you enter this information correctly, as you will not be able to amend it by yourself once it has been saved.
In the Personal ID Number/VAT Number field, you can choose one of the options: personal ID, that can be a National ID, Passport or Driving License, or VAT number if you have one.
The Payment method will be the only information that you can update at any time. You need to choose between Paypal or Payoneer and make sure that the account is correct to ensure the payment is processed correctly.
You can also create a contributor account if you are a Company. In that case, just check the box “Are you a company?” and enter the billing information for your business.
Once the billing information has been saved, the site will take you to the Fiscal Information section, where you must upload the Fiscal document required (ID card, passport, driving license or any official document that represents your company). As indicated earlier, it is very important that the information from the document matches the details saved in the previous section.
If your ID document does not have an expiration date, just enter a date far into the future, like 01/01/2100, and our Team will validated as per the data from the document.
The next and last step to have your contributor account created will be to complete your profile. Here you can enter some additional information, like a short description of your work or a website where this can be checked. We suggest that you add here a link to your online portfolio, since this may help when our team review your first 20 images.
Please note that for your first upload, you must upload 20 resources exactly to be able to submit the images for revision. If you upload 19, the system will not allow you to click the button. The same happens if you have more than 20 resources on the dashboard, even if you upload 30 and then select 20, the button will still be inactive.
At this point the set up of your account will be completed and you just need to go ahead with your first upload and show us your best 20 resources.
